Applesauce Cake

INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 c. flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/4 t. baking powder
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1 1/2 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. cloves
1/2 t. allspice
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 c. soft shortening
1 can(15oz) applesauce
3 eggs
1 c. raisins(optional)
1 c. nuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all ingredients, beat 1 minute at low speed, 4 minutes at medium speed - fold in raisins and nuts.. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350* for 45 minutes. Cool. Frost.
