Waldorf Astoria Icing

Yields: 3 cups
Icing for Waldorf Astoria Red Cake
INGREDIENTS:
1 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
pinch salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. crisco
1/2 cube margarine
1 t. vanilla
coconut
DIRECTIONS:
Cook milk, salt and flour until thickens. Set it aside to cool. Beat crisco, sugar, margarine and vanilla until fluffy. Blend this with the first mixture. Spread this between layers down the sides and across the top. Sprinkle coconut over the whole cake.
